If it’s for police, ambulance or fire, it’s important you make this call to make sure that you and others are safe. Your safety and well being are paramount. Ontario law requires that you notify the police immediately if anyone is injured in a car accident or the damage to all vehicles appears to be greater than $2,000. Otherwise, you have 24 hours to report a collision to a Collision Reporting Centre
Do this only if you’re able to. If you can’t do this on account of your accident related injuries, it never hurts to ask a friend, family member or a loved one to lend a helping hand. This information will be important for your case down the line.
With all other involved parties. Name, Driver's Licence number, addresses, phone numbers, insurance and vehicle particulars.
If use of the CRC is applicable in your area, take or have your vehicle taken to the CRC most convenient to you. You should attend with your vehicle. Without exception, vehicles that have to be towed must go directly to the CRC from the collision location.
You must report the accident within seven days, or as soon as reasonably possible after that. Failure to report your claim within that time frame may result in the insurer failing to honor your claim.
We will arrange for pick-up and towing of your vehicle (when necessary) from the CRC to our repair facility. All contact information is in "Contact Us' menu.
